File Settings

  • File is in PDF format
  • There is only one artwork per PDF (no multiple artworks in one file)
  • Hidden layers are deleted
  • Files are submitted with proper orientation (facing the right way)

Size

  • Artwork size matches the size of the order plus bleed*
  • Artwork contains bleed of at least 0.0625 inches around all edges

*Bleed is when the artwork extends outside of the trim line, acting like a safety margin in case there is a little bit of shifting during the trimming process.

Color

  • All artwork is in CMYK mode (no RGB or PMS). PMS is allowed only for dielines or white ink areas (see the 'Special Printing' section below)
  • Black text should have CMYK values: C0, M0, Y0, K100
  • Black design elements (non-text) should use rich black with CMYK values: C30, M20, Y20, K100
  • If you select the 'Black Only' option for your order, artwork should contain K only (not CMY or RGB), with the exception of any dielines or white ink areas

Design Elements and Text

  • Recommended: No borders along the edge of your design
  • Recommended: Vector-only design elements and text
  • If non-vector images are used, they must be at least 300 DPI
  • All text is outlined (not embedded), meaning it is vectorized
  • File does not contain linked images, form fields, comments, or annotations

Dieline

  • Indicate the dieline using a single stroke outline
  • The outline is set to a separate spot color named 'Dieline'
  • The outline is on its own layer
  • The outline is set to Overprint

White Ink (Optional)

  • Indicate the area where white ink is to be applied on the topmost layer of your artwork
  • This area is filled with a separate spot color named 'White_Ink'
  • The White_Ink area is set to Overprint
  • If you do not want anything to print on top of the White_Ink area, set it to Knockout
  • Do not supply separate files for CMYK and White Ink. Place them on different layers in a single file

Material (1.5 mil)

  • Clear PE – a transparent material offering excellent clarity for product visibility, ideal for packaging that requires windows
  • White PE – an opaque material suitable for designs requiring vibrant colors or where product visibility is not necessary

Lamination (0.5 mil)

  • Gloss Lamination (PET) – enhances the design's appearance, making it more vibrant and glossy
  • Soft Touch Lamination (PET) – provides a non-glossy finish with a smooth texture and reduces glare to make text more readable
  • High Barrier AlOx (PET) – contains an ultra-thin coating of aluminum oxide to protect against oxygen, moisture, and other gases

Ink

  • CMYK – full color printing without white ink (always choose this if printing on White PE)
  • CMYK + White – full color printing with white ink (available for Clear PE)
  • White Only – white ink only, no additional colors (available for Clear PE)

Size

Input your own custom dimensions.

  • Repeat length* – the vertical dimension of the artwork from top to bottom
  • Roll width – the horizontal dimension of the artwork, measured from one side to the other

*A 'repeat' is your artwork appearing once on the roll stock. For example, if your roll stock has your artwork printed 10,000 times, that means your roll stock has 10,000 repeats.

Quantity

  • Minimum 1,000 repeats (total linear feet will be calculated and shown once size and repeat quantity are entered)
  • Maximum 100,000 repeats

Roll Direction (Optional)

This refers to how the artwork is dispensed from the roll. Please do not rotate your artwork when you submit it, as we will handle rotation automatically based on the roll direction you choose.

Each design must be placed as a separate item within your cart, but you can check them all out together in one order.

The Upload Artwork button will only work after you fill out all the fields on this page to specify what you want for your order. Please ensure everything is filled out.

Please check the following:

  • File format: Must be a PDF
  • File size: Maximum 250 MB
  • Page count: Must match your order (e.g. a roll stock file should only have 1 page)
  • Potentially corrupt file: Try resaving with different settings, renaming without special characters, and ensuring the file is fully exported

Each size, material, or design variation must be submitted as a separate item, but they can all be checked out in one cart (one order).

Upload your artwork and add the item to your cart. Repeat the process for other items by clicking the 'add another item' button and adjusting size or material as needed. Once all items are in your cart, proceed to checkout and they will be ordered and shipped together.

To achieve a window, we recommend ordering Clear PE + Gloss Lamination or High Barrier AlOx. Include white ink in your artwork under other colors so they appear more solid in areas where you do not want a window. Please check the 'Artwork Prep' section to ensure your file meets white ink requirements.

We do not currently offer samples. However, our minimum order quantity is 1,000 repeats, allowing you to place a minimum order to use as samples.

We offer design services to help you create a dieline for your roll stock, as well as file modification services to help get your files print-ready. Visit our Packaging Design Services page for more information.

White ink can be used in two main ways:

  • As a base layer: Printing white ink first allows colors printed on top to appear more opaque on non-white materials such as clear or metallic.
  • As white artwork: Enables white design elements on non-white materials.

Please check the 'Artwork Prep' section to ensure your file meets the requirements for printing white ink.
